Christ the Healer International Missions Movement
Thousands of people filling the arena for a Christ the Healer worship celebration in Davao City

Plan your visit

Come this Sunday. Nothing is required of you.

Not a form, not an offering, not an answer to a single question. Sit at the back if you want to. Most people do, the first time.

Worship service

Schedule

This coming Sunday, at Almendras Gym, Quimpo Boulevard, Davao City

Pastors serving on Sunday 2 August 2026. The roster changes week to week. Meet the pastoral team.

On busy weekends the church adds services, and the times move. In November 2025 there were six in one Sunday at a second venue. If you are travelling any distance, check the Facebook page for the current week before you set out.

Your first Sunday

What actually happens, in order.

So that nothing about it catches you out.

Before

Arrive whenever

Come ten minutes early or twenty minutes late. Someone at the door will point you to a seat. If you have children, Junior Church starts half an hour before the service, in its own room.

First half

Worship, standing or sitting

Around half an hour of singing, with a full band. People raise their hands. Nobody minds if you do not. Words are on the screens.

Second half

The teaching

Around forty minutes from the Bible, usually from Bishop Rod or Mrs. Bishop Ruth. Bring a Bible if you have one. There are spares, and the passage goes up on the screen.

The offering

You are a guest

An offering is taken. Guests are not expected to give, and nobody watches the basket. If you want to give later, there is a page for it.

At the end

Prayer, if you want it

There is usually an invitation to be prayed for. You can walk forward or stay where you are. Both are normal, and one is not more spiritual than the other.

What to wear

Whatever you own

Some people dress up. Many do not. It is Davao, and it is warm. Nobody will read anything into your clothes.

Locations

Where to find us.

Davao City is the main house. Six other congregations meet across Mindanao, the Visayas, and the city districts.

Almendras Gym, Quimpo Boulevard

Davao City, Davao del Sur, Philippines

Four Sunday services: 9:05 AM, 11:05 AM, 1:05 PM, and 3:05 PM. Junior Church half an hour before each.

The church also holds worship celebrations at Victoria Plaza, Cinema 5.

Other congregations

Toril

Davao City district. Its own Facebook page.

Bajada

Davao City district.

Carmen

Davao del Norte. Its own Facebook page.

Santa Cruz

Davao del Sur.

Tagum

Davao del Norte.

Cebu City

Visayas.

We are not publishing service times or phone numbers for the other congregations until each one has confirmed its own. A wrong time on a website sends someone to a locked door. Message the main page and we will put you in touch with the congregation nearest you.

Before you come

Questions people actually ask.

Do I have to be a Christian to come?

No. You can come as a sceptic, a visitor, or someone who has not been inside a church in twenty years. Nobody will ask you to declare anything.

Will I be singled out as a visitor?

You will not be made to stand up, and there is no spotlight. If you would rather not be spoken to at all, sit at the back and leave when it ends. That is completely fine.

What do I do with my children?

Junior Church runs half an hour before each service for ages 0 to 12, with its own team. You are also welcome to keep your children with you in the service.

Which language is the service in?

Mostly English, with Cebuano and Tagalog through the singing and the welcome, which is how Davao actually talks.

How long does it last?

About an hour and fifteen minutes. Services are scheduled back to back, so they do start and finish close to the published time.

What does “the Healer” mean here?

It is a name for Christ, and it is what this church has believed about Him since it started: that God still heals spirit, soul, and body. We pray for people who are ill. We also expect them to keep seeing their doctor, and we will never tell anyone to stop treatment.

The doors open again this Sunday.

You do not need to be sure of anything to walk in.
Bring the questions you have been carrying.
